Tamela J. Gordon is a New York-bred, New Orleans revitalized author, editor, book critic, freelance writer, and tarot card reader. Pronouns she/her, for nearly a decade, Tamela has centered her spaces and platforms on exploring the ways that wellness and radical care are tangible tools for Black liberation. As the new Managing Editor for AHUS, Tamela will be serving as a conduit for our growing team of writers and their content, provide copy editing support, and much more. When not working for AHUS, Tamela's currently writing the forthcoming, Hood Wellness: Inclusive Self-Care for People Drowning on Dry Land, due for a 2024 release with Row House Publishing.
