This statement is a reminder that our silence will never be rewarded with liberation. The women should riot because this world is not afraid of us enough.

This riot is not an act of violence. It is a refusal to keep absorbing the violence that has been committed against us.

A riot can be what we stop doing, what we stop accepting. It is how we support each other so we can demand more — from partners, from employers, from this world.

A riot is naming an abuser. A riot is demanding to be paid what you’re worth. A riot is withholding access. A riot is choosing yourself without apology.

A riot is not simply destruction. It is dismantling. It is disruption. It is protection. It is a refusal to survive quietly.
