Linen

Written by Fiyah Angel (they/them)

Thank you, Tamela

For reminding me that my soul desires linen

For connecting me with the soul code of softness

Part of the reason I incarnated was to experience grace and soft sheets

And the range of textures that incite aliveness and rest

The bed a place to reconnect with sacredness

Breaking the ancestral curse of no rest

Crisp white sheets

Signal to me the day has ended

Toil is over, and enter the dream world

Full, fed and held

Carried into the dream world

In ritual rather than collapse from exhaustion, fatigue and exploration

My soul journeys the astral while my body is draped in simple comfort

Oppression seduced me to neglect

I count all the ways I abandoned myself for my conditioning

Pouring compassion where the wounds are

I bought a comforter today

Took my prize home

Cleansed self and spirit

wIth herbs

smoke

candlelight

and song

All senses engaged

Present to receive my blessing

Living a artist's life

A free life

Length and breadth and depth

Linen medicine

Pillow magic

Alchemizing shams into life’s gold

We can build a whole new world that

Honors our coziness as sacred

Sib, how many sets of sheets do you have?
