The Stanley Sticker

The Stanley Sticker

Inspired by one of the most dynamic characters ever on network television, AHUS presents: The Stanley Sticker.

The Stanley is our featured design for Black History Month. It represents fortitude, resilience, and of course, Blackness. Attributes found in members of the Black Panther Party. Stanley was one himself.

Back in the day, Stanley was mean and lean and fighting the power. Today, we’ve created a design that encapsulates Stanley channeling that same spirit.

*To note: profits of our Stanley design will go exclusively to the historically black college, Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is our goal to raise $500 for the state-based school, which is in turmoil of maintaining accreditation. The school has produced the following graduates:

  • Yardley Nelson Hunter (First Black woman Air Training Officer to train first class of women at U.S. Academy)

  • Dorothy L. Brown (First Black woman general in the south and first Black woman to be made a fellow of the American College of Surgeons)

  • Maidie Norman (Actress and educator, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?)

  • Carolyn R. Payton (First woman and first Black person to head the Peace Corps, also defined the meaning for what it is to be a First Class Citizen)

  • Jacquelyn Grant (Author, White Women’s Christ and Black Women’s Jesus: Feminist Christology and Womanist Response.)

  • Yvonne Johnson (First Black Mayor of Greensboro, North Carolina)
